Creative journaling is a way of making a permanent record of the good things in life, significant events, your feelings, and your progress towards personal goals. Creative Journaling is a form of mindfulness practice and one of the most powerful tools known to gain personal insight, solve problems and explore new ideas without the pressure to make it look good or make sense to others. There are no rules! You can write, draw, use collage, add photos, anything goes. The aim of this course is to help you start on your own journaling journey by enabling you to develop an understanding of how journaling can benefit you, getting you started with journaling ideas, page layouts and techniques
Over the course of six sessions learners will develop an understanding of how journaling can help improve and maintain personal well-being, through providing tools for identifying and encouraging healthy habits, setting goals and monitoring progress towards them, taking notice of the things they are grateful for and helping to address issues like stress and anxiety, amongst other things
As well as gaining a theoretical understanding, learners will start to develop a journal of their own, trying out different page layouts and techniques to help them create a journal that works for them. Learners will also be encouraged to develop the journaling habit by using their journal daily throughout the course.
None other than an interest in developing a personal journal as a tool for well-being.
