To provide an introduction to basic digital skills that will enable you to use technology to carry out every day activities.

Course content:

Since 2020, face-to-face communication has become more difficult, so understanding digital technology and communication is vital to stay connected in work and life.

The course will cover:

· Using and handling devices

· Communicating

· Being safe and responsible online

· Creating and editing

· Transacting digitally


  • There is an Initial Assessment to complete to check your current level of IT knowledge.

What do I need to do this course?

Be able to commit to attend the weekly sessions.

Teaching Methods

  • Mix of tutor input, individual written tasks, group discussions, computer and online practical tasks.

    How is your progress checked?

    Weekly feedback from tutor. Learners will be asked to complete a Personal Learning Record throughout their course and you may be asked to complete a feedback questionnaires for our funding bodies.
