This introduction to Interior Design will cover the history, roles and responsibilities of an interior designer. You will start to look at colour and how this influences designs, thoughts, feelings and emotions within an environment.
There will be a follow on course in March which will look at the more practical side of Interior Design, such as floor plans and scales, mood boards and soft furnishings.
The course is an overview of how interior design started, a review of the different styles and designs used over the decades, and how this can influence our designs today.
You will start to learn about the role and responsibilities of an Interior Designer from brief to completion.
None, beginners level.
Access to a tablet, laptop and the interenet.
Use of Microsoft Teams is required and we will support you to set this up if you have not used before.
Tutor led discussions, 1-1 and group activities and research.
Tutor will regularly check understanding of tasks.
You will be asked to complete a feedback from at the end of each session as well as a Personal Learning Record at the start and end of the course to track your journey.
