About Course

Are you thinking about a career in health?

Our certificate in Health Professions will provide you with an introduction to the industry and prepare you for starting the Access to HE (Health Professions) course. You can find out more about our Access courses by speaking to a member of the team.

We’ll cover things like study skills, health psychology, social policy, diet and nutrition and health care practice.

Course content:

Covering a range of topics, including Study skills, Health Psychology, Social Policy, Diet and Nutrition and Health Care Practice. Assessments will include essays, reports, question and answers and presentations.

What do I need to do this course?

As this course is being run online students will need to have access to a stable internet connection and a laptop with Microsoft office (this can be accessed free with an outlook account).

Requirements

    Initial assessment needs be taken and passed.

    Also, as the course is also run online learners should have a basic competency in using Microsoft office software such as Word, Power Point and Teams.

Teaching Methods

  • The course will be delivered over teams online on a Tuesday and Wednesday between 09:30 and 15:00 with half an hour break for lunch. The course is majority theory based.

    Extra study or practice required at home.
