This qualification is aimed at individuals who are wanting to progress into a teaching role. It seeks to prepare learners for employment and progression within the workplace. The qualification is flexible in its assessment and therefore it can be undertaken by individuals who are not already working in a teaching environment.

Course content:

Work will be assessed via a portfolio and a micro-teach lesson.

The areas of focus for this qualification are:

– Unit 01 Understanding roles, responsibilities and relationships in education and training;

– Unit 02 Understanding and using inclusive teaching and learning approaches in education and training;

– Unit 05 Understanding assessment in education and training.

Requirements

  • This is a level 3 (award) qualification which seeks to prepare individuals for teaching roles.

    All applicants must have or be working towards their Maths and English qualifications. These need to be at level 2 or GCSE grade 4 (C) or above.

    Initial assessment via interview

    All applicants must be 19+yrs.

Students will also need to have access to a laptop/computer to complete assessed work.
