Course content

  • Learners will be able to describe the benefits of yoga on physical wellbeing.
  • Learners will be able to describe the benefits of relaxation.
  • Learners will be able to continue the practice at home.

Description

A 45 min, gentle mindful Hatha Yoga and meditation class which is designed to give your back and abdominals a gentle stretch, whilst also focusing on releasing the shoulders.

Course content:

In this gentle Yoga class, we take a friendly, personal and gentle approach to teaching four major aspects of a rounded Yoga practice: Physical posture and movement, breath work, relaxation and meditation.

Requirements

  • No entry requirements. Suitable for beginners and those with some experience of yoga.

    To be able to attend the weekly sessions, at least 80% attendance is required.

What do I need to do this course?

A Yoga mat for practice would be beneficial, although not essential, as we do have some available.

Teaching Methods

  • Tutor demonstration and practice.


    How is your progress checked?

    Tutor observation throughout the class.

    Learners will be asked to complete a personal learning record at the end of each lesson.

    You will be emailed a Personal Learner start record and end record via email.

    What can I do after this course?
