Course content

  • 1. Define the terms ‘mental health’ and ‘mental ill-health’.
  • 2. Identify possible causes of mental health problems.
  • 3. Identify examples of mental health problems.
  • 4. Understand the common perceptions of mental health difficulties.
  • 5. Where appropriate support can be sought.


1 in 4 people in the UK will experience a mental health problem every year. (Mind)

In this course you'll learn about mental health and how it can impact us all.

You'll learn about good mental health and bad mental health and some of the ways in which you can get support.

Course content:

To explore what is mental health and how this can impact individual’s daily lives. To identify some example of different mental health conditions plus explore what local and national support is available.
