Local Market Rasen resident Julia, has taken back control of her life after attending the Look after Yourself course through CLIP.
Julia, who has suffered with depression, had ‘hit rock bottom’ before finding a course to help.
Initially anxious about joining the course, which is run thanks to funding from Lincolnshire County Council, Julia’s worries soon disappeared after meeting her tutor, Tina.
She said: “Tina put my mind at ease and the other people on the course were really friendly which made it a pleasure to attend every week.
“The course was interesting and made me think about myself which I hadn’t done for a long time”
The course, which is part of CLIP’s offering of wellbeing programmes, aims to support people in building confidence to progress even further.
And in Julia’s case, it’s done just that.
Julia added: “This course has given me a lifeline. It’s helped me build my confidence. This has then enabled me to register for further courses.
“I’ve taken back control of my life so I can now make decisions to improve it.”
Tina King, the tutor on the course said: “ ulia showed great dedication to her own personal development she has completed a number of courses from Saving money for Christmas to building confidence to Look After Yourself the five ways to wellbeing and many more.
“She is also part of the Café Green Space Funding Project (Shine) with CGS she has been a dedicated participants of the wellbeing groups and has made a number of friends who meet up outside of CLIP.”
