Autumn is a great season for flower arranging using autumnal flowers, foliage and seed heads
Now is your chance! Embrace the autumn season with us at CLIP and take part in our autumn flower arranging course.
You’ll have the chance to put together a beautiful arrangement to bring the colours and smells of autumn into your home.
You’ll also learn how to identify different plant materials, use several different tools and much more.
Flower arranging provides a soothing and calming experience. Selecting, cutting, and arranging blooms can help reduce stress and anxiety. The colours, textures, and fragrances of the flowers create a multisensory experience that encourages relaxation and mindfulness.
This short course will explore the use of autumnal plant material. This is an opportunity to prepare and create a range of autumnal floral designs using a variety of techniques and skills in a soothing and calming environment.
Throughout the course students will learn about conditioning and using plant material in different ways for use in autumnal floral designs.

The emphasis will be on fresh plant material but there is an option for students to use dried or silk materials.
Notebook and pen/pencil to take notes
Camera/phone camera to take photo of your design
Apron.
Students will need to provide plant materials to create the designs. Guidance will be given as to what to bring for each lesson and suggestions of where it can be sourced will be discussed.
Basic mechanics will be provided.

Learners will be asked to complete a personal learning record and weekly feedback during their course.
The tutor will offer regular feedback through informal and formal methods.
Whilst there is no set homework students will be encouraged to research designs and be aware of plants and foliage which can be sourced and used when creating the weekly designs
