Acis Group has been named runner-up in a regional awards programme recognising its innovative learning initiative for young learners run by Clip. 

The Gainsborough-based charity, which Clip is part of, provides social housing, employment, education and wellbeing services across Lincolnshire, and was recognised in the Best Use of a Community Donation at the EEM 2026 Building Communities Awards. 

The award submission centred on 30 learners, who use Clip education services. They planned and delivered a Spring Fair in Gainsborough raising over £450 for a local foodbank, while building valuable employability and life skills to the learners.  

They developed confidence, teamwork and entrepreneurial skills that will support their future careers and they’ve already started planning a bigger follow-up event in 2026. 

The learners are part of Clip’s Flare programme which supports young people in years 11, 12 and 13 (15–19-year-olds) to build skills, confidence and future pathways through tailored study and hands‑on community projects. 

Emma Innesbeer, Delivery Manager for Employability, Education & Wellbeing at Acis, said: “We’re incredibly proud to be recognised as runner-up – but even prouder of what these young people achieved. 

“This wasn’t just a project, it was a chance for them to step up, take ownership and prove what they’re capable of. They raised money for a great local cause but also built confidence, resilience and real-world skills that will stay with them for life. 

“That’s what Flare is all about – giving young people opportunities to realise their potential and make a genuine difference in their communities.” 

The annual awards, organised by East Midlands procurement consortium EEM, celebrate excellence, innovation and impact across the housing and construction sectors.
