About Course

From blossoming bouquets to overflowing centrepieces to wedding arrangements to table decorations, flower arrangements come in many shapes and sizes.

Our Level Two qualification in floristry will build on your knowledge of creating arrangements by increasing your knowledge of the tools needed, and by encouraging you to develop your own craft ideas.

You’ll learn more about what equipment to use, plant materials, techniques and how to create beautiful designs.

Course content:

Level 2 Floristry Award in Creative Craft

  • Learners will plan, produce and evaluate their own floristry craft work.
  • Learners will prepare the tools, materials and equipment required to produce their item whilst maintaining a safe working environment
  • Learners will have the opportunity to display their finished piece in an appropriate way or setting for others to see.
  • Learners will also evaluate the whole creative process and record any issues/challenges they faced and any areas for improvement.

Requirements

  • <p>This qualification is designed for learners aged pre-16 and above who wish to develop skills and knowledge in floristry and flower arranging techniques </p><p>A solid grasp of basic English and mathematics is required. </p><p>Ability to Work Independently on Designs: </p><p>Capability to independently manage design projects is necessary. </p><p>Candidates should be able to independently create and refine designs. </p>

    How is your progress checked?

    Learners will be asked to complete a personal learning record and weekly feedback during their course.

    The tutor will offer regular feedback through informal and formal methods.

    Extra study or practice required at home.

    There will be preparation to be done prior to each lesson. Portfolios will need to be kept up to date and this may mean completing some written work at home.

    Research may be done at home in preparation for the lessons.
