Makaton Level 1

Throughout the course, you\\\’ll explore the history and benefits of the Makaton Language Programme, understand how it is structured, and learn practical ways to use Makaton within professional and everyday settings. You\\\’ll develop the skills to use a range of everyday signs and symbols from Stages 1–4 and the Core Vocabulary, while exploring how Makaton Design themes can be adapted to meet individual needs.

You\\\’ll also learn about the additional resources, training and workshops available to help you continue developing your Makaton skills and confidence.
