Functional Skills English

Functional Skills English is designed to help you build confidence and develop practical English skills for work, further learning and everyday life.

Throughout the course, you will develop your reading, writing, speaking and listening skills through practical activities and real-life situations. You’ll work on areas such as understanding written information, communicating effectively and producing clear, accurate written English.

You’ll learn in a friendly and supportive environment, with guidance from an experienced tutor to help you progress at the level that is right for you.

The course can lead to a recognised Functional Skills English qualification and provide a valuable stepping stone towards employment, further training or higher-level study.
