Makaton Level 2

Build on the skills gained in Makaton Level 1 and develop greater confidence in using signs and symbols to support effective communication. This practical course introduces additional vocabulary from Stages 7 and 8 of the Makaton Language Programme, helping you communicate more naturally and fluently in a variety of settings.

Throughout the course, you\’ll learn to adapt your communication to meet the needs of different individuals, use signs in simple sentences, and communicate more complex information in an accessible way. You\’ll also practise interpreting and translating short stories using Makaton, while developing greater fluency, confidence and accuracy in your signing.

By the end of the course, you\’ll feel more confident using Makaton in everyday conversations and professional settings, enabling you to provide more effective communication support.
