About Course

Discover the wildlife living around us and explore the fascinating habitats that help plants and animals thrive.

This relaxed and practical course will introduce you to different UK habitats, from woodlands and grasslands to wetlands, hedgerows and urban green spaces. You’ll explore biodiversity, learn how plants, animals and people are connected, and head outdoors to put your observation skills into practice with a simple habitat survey.

You’ll also look at some of the challenges facing wildlife today and discover small, realistic ways we can all help protect and improve local habitats.

No previous knowledge or experience is needed and all materials are provided. A great opportunity to get outdoors, learn more about the natural world and see your local environment in a whole new way.
